St Lucia is officially a no-risk malaria area & is a 2˝ hours drive north of Durban on the N2 toll road.
From Gauteng drive via Ermelo, Piet Retief and Pongola (6˝ hours). St. Lucia is ideal for a stopover for visitors driving between Kruger National Park & KwaZulu Natal OR for those starting their journey in Cape Town and driving northwards to the Kruger Park.
St Lucia Estuary in South Africa is known as the gateway to the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park and therefore ideally positioned as an accommodation base for further exploration.

The Lodge is situated in a lavish tropical garden with breathtaking views over the St Lucia Wetlands and Estuary mouth of Lake St. Lucia where it meets the warm Indian Ocean. The Lodge is hard to beat both as a destination and venue.
The best location in St. Lucia Wetland Park. The Lodge is a tropical paradise of palms, cycads, tree ferns and other exotic plants which attracts birdlife. The resort is situated in the famous St. Lucia Wetland Park with access to Cape Vidal, Big 5 game reserves, Zulu cultural villages and self-guided walking trails.

Existing Lapa area can be converted to a health drinks & Hotel-Spa facility, gym, Sushi restaurant & bar or Cigar & Cognac lounge.
Front facing Cottages with sweeping views have architect plans to convert existing coverage into accommodation units or public areas, viz bar, restaurant, private executive VIP lounge, health Spa, gym, etc.
Existing Garage & staff quarters have architect council approved plans for more units or a 3rd conference facility.
The opportunity exists with an ideal base of clientele to apply for concessions for an integrated In-House Tour operation in the area & surrounds. This, with client feed from Lodging is in itself an extra big money spinner.
